Born and raised in Camden, Arkansas, Wanda followed in her dad's footsteps in the watch and jewelry business. She had a 45-year career at this, retiring in 2004. She and her husband moved to Arkadelphia in 2005 to be near their daughter. It was there that Wanda discovered oil painting. This was something she had always wanted to try but never had the time nor the opportunity. In the past two years, under the guidance of Farrell Ford, she has developed a knowledge and passion for oil painting. She is finding that the intricate work and detail of her former career comes through and is helpful in her painting.
