A native of Southern California, Chris and his family have spent the last 21 years in Clark County Arkansas, mostly in Arkadelphia. Chris has spent most of his time either teaching art ranging from the college level to the elementary grades or painting points of interest and local landscapes. Prior to painting in Arkansas, Chris has painted for the tourist trade in Lanai, Hawaii, and fine art painting in Southern California and Utah.

Chris worked on his art skills while attending LAVC in Van Nuys, California. Later he received a BA degree from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in painting and entered student shows. While working for the Little Rock School District teaching secondary art, Chris received his MSE Degree from Henderson State University in 1992. His work is displayed in a gallery in the Heights in Little Rock.
